HELP US MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
Blades for Better Project
At Blades for Better, we believe small actions can lead to real change when people actually follow through on them. Every year, thousands of fencing blades break and get thrown away, ending up in landfills where they just sit and contribute to long-term waste. Blades for Better was created to change that. Our goal is simple: collect broken blades and make sure they are recycled through certified metal facilities, giving them a second life while also pushing for more sustainability in the fencing community.
This is not a fundraising campaign. The money from recycling is minimal, and that is not why we do this. What matters is the impact. It is about reducing waste, raising awareness, and building a sense of responsibility within the sport.
We invite fencers, clubs, and event organizers to be part of it. Whether that means donating used blades, volunteering, or just spreading the word, it all adds up. Every small step helps move the fencing community toward something cleaner and more aware.

Support our recycling mission.
Recycling fencing blades only brings in a small amount of money, but every dollar goes straight into the current project. Your contribution helps cover logistics, not profit. If there is anything left over, it goes right back into the project.
